FB 503 - FINANCIAL THEORY & CORPARATE FINANCE

An overview of short and long-term financial theory future cash flows, capital budgeting, risk and return, cost of capital, options and corporate structures, mergers and acquisitions. Further topics include risk analysis; capital asset pricing; capital structure and valuation; bankruptcy risk; and cost of capital.

FB 537 – ASSET LIABILITY MANAGEMENT IN BANKING

The main target of the course is to inform the participants about the following subjects; The contents of asset liability management and its role in banking, The strategic management of bank balance sheet, The relationship between profit and aseet-liability management, Off-balance-sheet items of the banks, Risks for banks, Interest rate and foreign exchange management tools-Hedging Techniques.

FB 541 - INTERNATIONAL BANKING AND FINANCE

This course will focus on the nature of international trade and business and forecasting, theories of international economics, analysis of production and investment and cost. The economics of pricing and diversification.

FB 543- FINANCIAL MARKETS AND INSTITUTIONS

The main objective of this one term lecture is to provide insight into the nature and operation of international financial institutions and markets, central banks, money market policies, primary and secondary markets, exchange market, derivatives, balance of payments.

FB 545 – THE THEORY OF INVESTMENTS

The main objective of this one term lecture is to present students with the knowledge on the theory of investments. With this respect this course will cover mainly the modern investment theory and its applications as paying some attention to the classical approach to investment analysis as well.

FB 547 - ORGANISATIONAL DESIGN AND THEORY

An overview of the course will be a fundamental tool for a student of management science to realize the transformation from the conceptual design to the actual organization by the aid of major analytical and actual cases.

FB 549 - FINANCE STATISTIC

Main objective of the course, is to gain the ability to use established linear or nonlinear regression models on any finance subject and to evaluate the figures of anova analysis. Students will gain the ability to use statistical techniques to establish their research questions, pose relevant hypotheses, and make use of the most appropriate tests to carry out a scientific study..

FB 542 - DERIVATIVES

This course focuses on the understanding of how financial technology of derivatives can be used to advance the strategic goals of firms. After brief overview of the nature and the role of derivatives information. The course aims to prepare executives of corporations, who design, price, produce, sell and buy securities both on their own behalf and for their clients; and investment managers.

FB 544 – FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS AND PRACTICAL APPLICATION

The objective of this lecture is to provide the pupils with the basic theory of fundamental equity analysis and its practical application.

FB 550 – STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT

The objective of this course is to give a detailed information on a practical and theoretical basis of bank operations. Provide a full example of bank management and decision tools with the help of risk management tools.

FB 554 - TECHNICAL ANALYSIS

This is an introductory course technical analysis applying charting techniques, volume indicators, and oscillators to indicate market price trends and reversals.The course contains Fundamental Analysis, Technical Analysis Philosophy, Advantages and Disadvantages of Technical Analysis, Dow Theory and comments on Dow Theory, Price Formations, Technical Analysis Tools.

FB 556 – CREDIT MANAGEMENT IN BANKING

To learn the sorts and the operating systems of the credits financing international trade and the local and international rules for the intermediary activities of banks for all international operations.

FB 558 – TREASURY AND DEBT MANAGEMENT

The aim of this course is to introduce post graduate students with the roles of Treasury in the formation and operational mechanism of financial markets. The concepts in this course will be covered in its simplest form assuming that the students have very limited knowledge about the subject. The course will begin with the modern and traditional definitions of Treasury and will continue with the History of Treasury in Turkey and in the World. The following subjects that will also be covered in this course can be listed as; The structure of the Undersecretariat of Turkish Treasury and its relations with other institutions, 15 different Treasuries of 15 different countries, the functions of Treasury in the modern, the effects of these functions on economic development, fiscal and monetary policy formation. At the end of this course, postgraduate students in Finance and Banking Program, will be able to evaluate the important role and function of the Treasury in directing and developing the economy.

FB 560 – LEGAL REGULATIONS AND BANKING

In this course, we describe the financial arrangements and the regulatory framework in financial system and analyse the theoretical framework of the financial markets, the role in the economics and type and methods of the financial instrument..
